Dr. Vikrant Narayan Vasudeva is an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India and is a trained mediator by the Supreme Court. He has also been appointed Amicus Curiae by the Supreme Court of India.
Dr. Vasudeva holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Law from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, and was awarded a Doctoral Fellowship at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property & Competition Law, Germany. Additionally, he was an Invited Researcher at the Institute of Intellectual Property under the Japan Patent Office in Tokyo. He earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from The George Washington University Law School, USA, following a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Honours) from GGS Indraprastha University, New Delhi, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Laws from the Indian Law Institute. Dr. Vasudeva has further enhanced his expertise through certificate programs at Harvard University and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
His previous experience includes serving as a junior associate to Mr. Gopal Subramanium, Senior Advocate and former Solicitor General of India, and completing international internships with R. Kunstadt, P.C., New York, and the Law Office of Henry S. FitzGerald, Virginia.
Dr. Vasudeva is also engaged in academia, acting as visiting faculty at South Asian University, Delhi University, the Indian Law Institute, and the Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi. His scholarly works have been published in countries including the U.S.A, U.K., The Netherlands, Japan, Korea, Australia, and India.
Furthermore, Dr. Vasudeva has contributed to research initiatives with entities such as the Law Commission of India, the Centre for Internet and Society, Bangalore, and the Creative & Innovative Economy Center, Washington, D.C.
He was honoured on Law Day 2014 by the Supreme Court Bar Association for his publication, "Open Source Software and Intellectual Property Rights" (Wolters Kluwer, The Netherlands, 2014).
